چکیده

It is obvious from the review of theories in Chapter 3 that the authors have a good gras~ “~. the teacher retention literature. They review several dift.erent theories and a broad rang<’ ‘“ variables that influence retention, and rely upon the writings of Grissmer and collea$~~’% extensively, which makes sense given their recent contributions to the knowledge base in ?N;s area. The hypotheses posited for the multivariate analysis are consistent with the thet~iw~” proposed in Chapter 3 and appear to be logical. Many of the vmiables have been includ~~~~~ previous research studies on attrition/retention and commitment. Some of the hypotheses h$~” strong support based on the theories reviewed and previous research (e.g., age, gender).
